Environmental guidelines set out within the construction industry are followed. In particular, with regards to the removal of waste and materials, which are recycled wherever possible. Sustainable materials and products are also used wherever possible.
Health and safety policies and procedures are set out in the company health and safety plan. Each site will have a specific health and safety file and where the projects are CDM notifiable, due to our experience, we are able to carry out the role of 'principal contractor'.
Personal development is encouraged, with all staff attending regular health and safety updates, first aid courses, asbestos awareness courses and our plumbers and electricians all have to be fully compliant with all of the regulations set out by their own trade organisations such as being Gas Safe registered and NICEIC.
On completion of all projects, Skand Construction will provide an 'operating and maintenance' manual with all the relevant information for the client's record.
Skand Construction is insured for a contractor's 'all risks policy' that includes employer and public liability insurances and a copy is available in the Skand Office.
